About Tom Pender
My experience has zigzagged through international development, finance, professional education, enterprise sales, and now — the outdoor industry. If there’s a common thread, it’s this: I like hard problems, good people, and smarter systems that work better for humans. Whether it’s designing a global learning initiative, wrangling ERP data, or helping someone pick up a new skill, I’m in it for the impact and the insight.I’ve worked with Fortune 100 execs, nonprofit boards, audit teams, and emerging professionals. And I’ve learned the most from the ones who challenged me the hardest. Along the way, I’ve: led high-performing teams; launched first-to-market programs; co-founded a nonprofit; and shortened cycle times across finance (month-end close), portfolio management (product development), and operations (inventory and order processing). A mid-career pause gave me space to rest, reset, and relaunch.I’m thrilled to be in an industry that helps others get outside and reconnect with what matters.
