ABOUT TOMOS GRIFFITHS

Since the age of 4 I\'ve always been in awe at Construction, my father built the first extension to the family house when I was 4 and he caught me doing pull ups off the cement mixer, my first lesson in H+S was on that day. As I got older the passion for construction grew and I\'d sketch drawings for Dad to build my dream house, and as time passed and I got bigger, I was allowed to labor on the projects my family worked on and eventually to be a bricklayer also. Through School I chose subjects that would benefit me in my aspirations to work in Construction. After GCSE\'s I went to Pembrokeshire College to do BTEC ext dip Construction and the Built Environment, I enjoyed the freedom of College and I learned a lot from the course. The lecturers helped me secure a spot in Loughborough University for Construction Engineering Management. It was ranked the best course for Construction Management in the UK at the time, I didn\'t want to be an average Joe and I wanted to push myself. So now 2 years after graduation from Loughborough University, and working in industry on a large and complicated project, the passion still remains the same. I\'ve managed the basement from the first block being laid to commissioning of the M+E systems. I\'ve learnt a lot in leadership, construction, problem solving, teams management, the importance of H+S and Quality on site. There\'s undoubtedly more to learn from working in the Construction Industry, and this I\'m grateful for.
