Manage OTC section for Pharmacy/Non-Pharmacy stores across Canada (Safeway/Thrifty’s/Sobeys West/Sobeys Ontario/Sobeys Atlantic/Foodland/IGA)• Currently managing all business aspects of the following categories:• *OTC : Pain Relief, NRT (Smoking Cessation), Cough/Cold, Allergy, Digestive Health Antacid/Laxative, First Aid, Foot Care, Tensor, Medical Aids, Eye/Ear Care, Family Planning, Medicated Face, Meal Replacements, Medical Appliances, Adult Incontinence (senior care) • Extensive understanding of Provincial Regulatory Environment (Schedule I, Lock & Leave) • Identify key opportunities through category business reviews and analysis, including Consumer Decision Tree development and post-promotion analysis• Collaborate directly with the vendor community to create optimal marketing and promotional strategies • Manage and grow Category Sales and Profits• Make sound and fact based business decisions regarding new and discontinued items• Plan and execute new item activity to ensure speed to market on new items• Negotiate and team to ensure best cost, best promotions, best allowances, and logistics opportunities• Determine items to be promoted, promotion vehicles, promotion price and display and assist with coordination of strategic pricing• Team with Corporate Brands to determine optimum plan for category, including new item development• Provide leadership and direction to Category Analysts regarding schematic development and supervise Category Assistants and Assistant Category Managers• Analyze and course correct to ensure execution of company wide sales and marketing for the category• Work closely with multiple folks within the manufacturer community to partner and develop enhanced Category Optimization Process business plans
