Only then, at that moment, do you fully realize the danger of an identity defined by occupation, something so easily taken away. Back against the wall, I slowly began to rebuild it; all the while battling the uncertainty of what’s next. Before long, it became clear that I needed this to re-prioritize what’s most important - faith and family needed to come first.I spent the next year as an unemployed man, but that doesn’t really tell the whole story. I was a stay-at-home dad, relearning what it looks like to be a servant leader. I had the opportunity to serve in ministry, investing in kingdom work rather than stocks, bonds and our 401k. I was quiet, learning the importance of listening and patience as I waited to hear what was next for me and my family.On September 24, 2019, after consulting with mentors, friends and family, I made the commitment to commercial real estate. Heeding the advice of mentors in the industry, I readied myself for a six-month stretch of licensing classes, networking and firm interviews. Finally on the other side of it all, I can’t begin to express how excited I am to join Mark Ayers team at Savills.If you’re a business leader in the market for real estate services, I hope you’ll let me earn your trust. I’ll treasure the relationship, and work in the right ways for you - with high integrity and upmost character. That’s the stuff that really matters.
