My research is situated at the nexus of international strategy, sustainability innovation, and economic development. The primary focus of my research program are the strategies of emerging markets\' firms participating as suppliers of agri-commodities or intermediate goods in global value chains. In particular, I investigate how impact investing, public policies, private sustainability governance, and participation in international knowledge networks enable SMEs\' competitive resilience and climate change adaptation strategies in global value chains, with an emphasis on the Latin-American and Sub-Saharan contexts. My goal is to cast light on how suppliers\' strategies contribute to achieving the United Nations\' Sustainable Development Goals by transforming the processes and organization of globally dispersed production.
