CyberSci - Canada\'s Cyber Security Challenge for students was founded to improve the skill level of Canada\'s cyber workforce. This is done by linking university students with sponsor companies looking for top talent in cyber security. We run a series of cyber challenges across Canada where each event includes hacking in the morning, interviews in the afternoon, and job offers by evening. The jobs are either regular, permanent positions or full-time, fully-paid intern posts.Winning teams from each region compete in national finals, and winners there go on to represent Canada at the European and International finals each year.https://cybersci.ca/

ABOUT TOM LEVASSEUR
An experienced technical Cyber Security expert and former programmer, Windows and Linux sys admin with experience in networking and cloud. Dellivered hands-on training using simulation exercises for over people at conferences and organizations such as the Canadian Police College, CGI, Bank of Canada, Rogers Communications, others.Recently retired as Team Lead, Vulnerability Assessments for Bank of Canada, defending our national financial infrastructure. Still running student cyber competitions and recruiting events across Canada, to expand Canada\'s cyber talent pool. Dozens of students placed so far, in major companies and govt. departments. Also, the winning teams from each region compete in our national finals, and top students there go on to represent Canada at the European, and the World finals each year.Certifications and Qualifications, Past and Present include CISSP, CEH, GWAPT, MBA, Security Clearances.Fluent English and French, some Spanish.
