ABOUT TOMIKA PRICE

I have over 15 years of work experience in public libraries creating and managing age appropriate programs; branch operations; coordinating programs with community partners; reporting on branch activities; and leading system programs. As a librarian, I contribute my creative ideas by connecting and partnering with the local community. I have experience working with diverse communities, actively promote the use of library resources and the use of new technologies. I have experience working with community groups, businesses, and teachers in local School Districts on literacy projects. Been privileged to attend many American and International Library Association conferences, and participate in online and Library Leadership professional development training. These opportunities have kept me aware of new technologies being used at universities, museums, and city and county libraries. This exposure has allowed me to connect with and meet customer needs. As a resourceful librarian I seek to be innovative in providing useful services to the local community.
