ABOUT TOM WRIGHT
I am an experienced test engineer of both software and hardware with a drive to ensure accuracy and repeatability of all testing. I am a very technically minded person, who enjoys learning and exploring new equipment and technologies even if it might not perform a particularly interesting task. I enjoy learning new skills and further discovering the possibilities of programming, which I had already been pursuing more actively before it became a staple part of my job. My previous jobs have allowed me to utilise and build on these skills to help improve efficiency within the companies while also furthering my own knowledge. This was how I originally moved into Test Automation, as I spent any downtime learning Selenium with Java/JUnit, and trying to find ways to add this into my actual work to improve test efficiency and repeatability, as well as to build my own skill set.I have worked with various software development models - Scrum, Agile, Waterfall - and am well versed in contributing to ceremonies and processes such as code reviews, documentation, planning and architecture, as well as proposing new ideas and pushing for changes where appropriate.
