Domestic abuse is a complex societal crisis. While it is an epidemic that primarily devastates the lives of women, it is fundamentally a problem that men must take an active role in solving. I am proud to stand as part of a dedicated team of men and women committed to the mission of “ending the cycle of domestic abuse.”As a Founding Ambassador, I have been privileged to support the growth of Gems for Gems from a grassroots idea into a registered Canadian charity thriving in Calgary and abroad. Key Contributions & Milestones:• Foundational Strategy: Managed the original incorporation of the non-profit and coordinated directly with CRA to successfully secure federal charity status in 2017.• Operational Stewardship: Oversaw bookkeeping and administrative functions during the phases of 20••••18 and 20••••22, ensuring financial transparency and organizational health.• Community Engagement: Continued presence at our signature jewelry packaging events for over a decade, helping facilitate the tangible gifts that remind survivors of their inherent worth.• Program Support: Active volunteer for the Thrive Series and the Gems Cup (2024–Present), supporting initiatives that provide psychological recovery, physical well-being, and economic empowerment for women.I believe that through empathy, strength, and collaborative action, we can build a future where everyone has the tools to move from a place of fear to a life of independence.

Why do I do this?
