ABOUT TOM GRAY

Tom specialises in real estate and has particular experience in rural property transactions across Scotland. Tom advises on a variety of rural and commercial property transactions, including agricultural tenancies, forestry, farm and estate acquisitions and disposals, security work, as well as general estate conveyancing.Tom represents a number of public sector clients, including Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS), NatureScot, Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park Authority, KLTR and AiB in a variety of property related transactions, ranging from acquisitions and disposals to leases and clawback agreements.Tom acts in a high number of acquisition and disposal transactions under Forestry and Land Scotland\'s New Woodland Investment Programme (NWIP) and Low Carbon Investment Fund (LCF). Since 2017, Tom has completed the acquisition and disposal of more than of mixed forestry enabling FLS to successfully invest in new planting in order to meet the annual target of planting new woodland set by the Scottish Ministers. Tom has a wide ranging interest in the agricultural sector and he regularly delivers training sessions to the HM Connect network on Land Reform and agricultural tenancies. He regularly attends rural property, farming, forestry and environmental events across Scotland.Tom is an Accredited Specialist in Agricultural Law by the Law Society of Scotland. The Legal 500 lists Tom as a \"Recommended Lawyer\" in Agriculture & Estates. Chambers Directory 2022 notes Tom as “An Associate to Watch”. Tom was shortlisted for \'Junior Solicitor of the Year\' at the Law Awards of Scotland 2018.
