ABOUT TOMER SCHWARTZ

After dedicating the majority my undergraduate career to studying and researching biochemical processes, I decided to shift my focus from C. elegans worms and HeLa cells to actual human beings upon entering the real world. During my first four years of work, I worked in the B2B software space where I delivered product solutions through a deep understanding of client needs, strong attention to detail, hypothesis-driven development, and cross-functional collaboration. In 2016, I decided to go back to school and get an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business. These two years gave me both the perspective and the time to think about what I want from a job, what type of a leader I want to be, and what I need to do to get there.Coming out of my MBA, I worked at PayPal on both consumer and merchant experiences as part of a new initiative — eventually named PayPal Shopping — that focused on winning upstream of checkout (the company’s sweets pot). Though I enjoyed my time in payments and e-commerce, it became clear that it was time to return to B2B SaaS and to a company that was at an earlier stage of maturity. Rippling at less than 200 employees and no existing Product team was that perfect fit. I currently work as a Product Lead at Rippling, helping us carry out our mission of freeing smart people to work on hard problems. My team of PMs works on our HRIS, Benefits, PEO/ASO verticals as well as our company onboarding/adoption experiences.
