About Tom Crawford
Tom has been an executive search partner to technology companies big and small for 15 years. In addition to having participated in hundreds of senior-level executive placements, clients and industry executives have sought out Tom’s counsel on a number of growth related topics including executive assessment, change management and leadership development. Prior to Calibre One, Tom was a founding partner at a leading Silicon Valley boutique executive search firm where his firm focused on C-level and VP-level retained search assignments in technology companies falling into the consumer, digital media, healthcare, financial services, and SaaS industry sectors.Tom’s career in executive search was preceded by more than 20 years of operational experience in high-growth, venture backed startups and he was an early, central figure in the bringing to market of multiple technology innovations. His efforts were instrumental in delivering to consumers the first web-based email products as well as ground-breaking anti-spam and anti-phishing solutions to the enterprise. Tom participated in multiple funding events and successful exits, including three startup acquisitions prior to his joining XOOM.com, which went public after only 2 years and $10 million raised. XOOM’s IPO resulted in 30x returns to investors and led to the company\'s acquisition by General Electric (NBC).
