ABOUT TOM JENNINGS
Strategy leader with 25 years’ experience working on the transition to a low-carbon economy, spanning the energy system, transition finance and climate policy.I currently lead sustainability and transition strategy at UBS, overseeing the development of the firm’s transition plan and broader sustainability agenda. My role focuses on embedding these considerations into core business strategy and translating evolving regulatory and market developments into implementable actions across a global organisation.Previously, at Oliver Wyman, I advised financial institutions and energy-exposed sectors on climate strategy, transition planning and risk management, and co-authored GFANZ industry guidance on sectoral pathways and transition plans.Earlier in my career at The Carbon Trust, I helped shape the UK’s renewable energy landscape, including launching its largest offshore wind RD & D programme and delivering international resource-efficiency programmes with multilateral development banks. My experience across policy, advisory and financial institutions provides a cross-sector perspective on how governments, industry and the financial system can accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy.MBA (Distinction), INSEAD. MEng, University of Cambridge.
