As the leader of a cross-functional team at AXA, I am responsible for setting the requirements for all aspects of security across the organization and providing governance, oversight, and advisory services to ensure their effective implementation. I work closely with the CEO and other C-suite executives, as well as CSOs and functional leaders at various levels, to ensure that security is a top priority at all levels of the organization. ABOUT TOM BUCHANAN
I’m a member of the AXA Group Security Leadership team, responsible for an amazing team of >40 experts who’s purpose is to set the requirements for security across the whole AXA Group and provide advisory services to help ensure these are met. We support employees in 54 countries with a range of topics including Physical Security, Health & Safety, Operational Resilience, Information Security, corporate crisis leadership and Disaster Risk Resilience. We design and implement global programmes that reduce security risk, protect what matters and increase overall readiness to respond when adversity strikes. I favour pragmatism and cost efficiency over bureaucracy and compliance with dogma. I love developing high performing teams and exploring new ways to embed security so that improvements are easily adopted and remain sustainable in the long term. I\'ve been doing this for more than 20 years with many top brands and have enjoyed speaking about crisis leadership, security and operational resilience at a range of global conferences including the World Economic Forum. I look forward to connecting with like minded people!
