GE 630%….DHR 400%….Milliken 400%….GE 808% and counting….These are the returns I experienced as an owner at each company during my time with them. As I moved from one to the other, I added skills for leading people, managing results and improving performance in a powerful, systematic way.I started my business career in a Jack Welch led GE, with it\'s focus on results, leadership and breakthrough. He didn\'t call it HK or SDP but he was the best at it. Sourcing, eBusiness, Six Sigma, Globalization, etc. etc. At Danaher, I was introduced to KPI Management, Lean and the business system culture which drives their results with process and an unwavering cadence.At Milliken, I applied all of that to transform my team’s results and refresh the company’s performance system.After rejoining GE I had a front row seat for Larry\'s remaking of an industrial icon, leading the transformation at the enterprise level with its massive scale, applying the same basic tools and techniques for a $180B global company.While I still have much to learn, I have mastered the techniques of key performance and now intend to share all I’ve learned with the employee owners of KKR and, hopefully, a few of you.
