ABOUT TOMASZ SZTUK
Tomasz studied architecture at Krakow’s Technical University. In 1987 he obtained Master of Architecture degree and was awarded a Medal for Best Student’s Diploma by the Mayor of Krakow. Tomasz practiced architecture in Poland and Germany before moving to Canda in 1991. In Calgary he has worked in various architectural practices, most notably Gibbs Gage Architects (19••••03) and Zeidler Partnership Architects (20••••11) in roles ranging from Design Architect to design Director and Principal. Tomasz is one of the co-founding partners of DAAS Design and Architecture Studio. Tomasz obtained his architectural accreditation with CACB in 1995 and had been a member of Royal Architectural Institute of Canada since 1995. In Tomasz was registered as a Registered Architect with the Alberta Association of Architects. Between 2008 and 2014 Tomasz has served as the chairman of The City of Calgary Urban Design Review Panel, a subcommittee of the Calgary Planning Commission. Tomasz teaches at the University of Calgary School of Architecture, Planning and Landscape Architecture site planning design studio.
