As a junior in high school, I co-founded an initiative that provided lessons in classical violin to children from Rocinha in Rio to tackle the growing problem of reduced Non-STEM education in public schools. From the experience I learned skills like team building and project management, but I also realized how much more I still wanted to learn. This was further reinforced during my Gap year where I travelled to Nepal and Japan for 5 months. I now seek to understand communities in search of local solutions to global problems.
