Material Planner - Maintenance Control @Virgin Atlantic

Support the Maintenance/Production Planning function,minimising costs and ensuring on time provision of material in support of all VAA maintenance activities (VAA Hangar, VAA Line,VAA network and outsourced MRO providers)- build check preload from the line checks right through to \'\'A\'\' and \'\'C\'\' and \'\'D\'\' checks, build preload for Ad-Hoc checks including MCUs and Out of Phase requirements, liaise with all relevant planning departments on progress, on shortages and on any shipping information on preload Support Deferred Defect interrogation and resolution - keep Deferred Defects under tight control and make necessary recommendations to Inventory Control to increase stock holding where necessary, work with the necessary Engineering support departments to develop resolution on difficult to resolve Deferrals, work with the Purchasing group to develop PMA/EPA options to aid spares support for difficult to resolve Deferrals, provide the necessary Charts and Statistics to show performance on Deferrals on daily/weekly basis in line with recommendations Support the day to day running of the Maintenance Control department covering, workload balance and ensuring departmental performance meets and strives to exceed KPI’s
