Consumer Safety Officers (CSO\'s) monitor and manage compliance initiatives and serve as U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) representatives on investigations. CSO\'s serve as investigators who review and evaluate evidence and findings to determine compliance with FDA-enforced laws and regulations. CSO\'s are responsible for conducting sample collections, audit recalls, inspections, and investigations. Additionally, CSO\'s are responsible for generating reports and documentation containing evidence of violations related to the laws the FDA enforces. OHAFO CSO\'s examine human and animal foods to ensure compliance with U.S. law. Routine Duties for CSO\'s include:• Investigating complaints of injury, illness, or death caused by FDA-regulated products.• Initiating actions against violators.• Advising industry, state and local officials and consumers on enforcement policies, methods, and interpretation of regulations.
