Tom Wuchenich is the Managing Partner of Simpson Thacher’s Los Angeles office and a member of the Firm’s Executive Committee, its highest governing body.For nearly 30 years, Tom has advised many of the most active alternative asset management firms on the formation and management of their private investment funds and separate accounts across a variety of asset classes. He also has significant experience in strategic transactions for asset managers. Tom regularly represents leading private equity sponsors, including BOND, Canyon Capital, Charger Investment Partners, CIM Group, Coral Tree Partners, KSL Capital Partners, Oaktree Capital Management, Platinum Equity, Prime Group, Revelstoke Partners, and True Wind Capital, among others. Highly regarded as one of the preeminent Private Funds lawyers on the West Coast, Tom has been named a Law360 “MVP in Fund Formation” and is regularly recognized in The International Who’s Who of Business Lawyers. He has been recognized as one of the “LA500: The Most Influential People in Los Angeles” by the Los Angeles Business Journal and as one of the “Top 100 Lawyers” in California by the Daily Journal.
