I lead a multi skilled team of project professionals, data analysts and software developers, as the Programme & PMO manager for Complex Emgineering-EAST. The team we govern and support is strong, comprised of 850 engineers and their management teams, specialising in fibre build and complex network solutions, within Openreach. I work directly with the senior leadership team up to a director level. I am responsible for overseeing; project processes,project tracking forecasting and reporting on fibre build programmes and operations delivering THP annually. In addition to this all operational KPIs and initiatives are spearheaded by my team including safety, finance, fleet management, partner management, resourcing & communication. All operational insights, data requests and operational admin support is also absorbed by my team. I have been personally responsible for implementing a new SHEQ role,transforming the engineering team’s safety, quality and environmental compliance and performance on all metrics. Now national leaders on safety, influencing new standards and impacting national policy changes. My role also involves personally leading a small team in developing oracle based software solutions to integrate; reporting, project progress analysis functions, performance KPIs reporting & risk control on our fibre build programmes & operations. This has received national recognition, saved Millions of pounds and improved operational performance immeasurably.
