Summary: Business experience includes a progression of C-Suite officer positions with public and private companies, Tom is an experienced and accomplished Fortune 500 CFO and private company CEO currently holding independent director, audit committee chair positions while also serving as a private equity advisor. Over his career, Tom has had experience in several industries – insurance, financial services, artificial intelligence, telecom, media & publishing, direct marketing, branded consumer products, oil & gas, business services, global manufacturing, real estate and transportation industries.Current Board Experience: Tom is currently an independent board director, compensation committee member and audit committee chair for Nassau Insurance Group Holdings GP, LLC, Based in Hartford, Connecticut, Nassau is a growth focused and digitally enabled financial services company with a fully integrated platform across insurance and asset management. Nassau was founded in 2015 and has grown to $1.5 billion in total adjusted capital and $24.3 billion in assets under management; 2) An independent board member and audit committee chair for PICO, A leading provider of infrastructure, cloud, data, software, and analytics solutions that power mission-critical applications for more than 400 financial institutions; 3) A board advisor to Aniline Inc, founded in 2019, Aniline leverages cutting-edge AI, providing customers with the business intelligence needed to prudently make critical decisions. C-Suite Experience: At the request of the board, Tom stepped in as Nassau’s Interim Chief Financial Officer (August 2022 - January 2023) while the company searched for a permanent CFO. Upon hiring a CFO, Tom returned to his board and committee responsibilities. Previously, Tom served as the Group CFO, Nassau Financial Group (NFG) and CFO, Nassau Corporate Credit from January 2017- September 2020, where he was responsible for providing oversight and leadership for the global finance function while serving as a board member of several Nassau subsidiaries. Prior to joining NFG, Tom was executive vice president and chief financial officer of HRG Group Inc.(NYSE: HRG). Previously, he was president and chief executive officer of RDA Holding Co, the parent company of Reader’s Digest, and was RDA’s CFO. Earlier in his career, Tom served as executive vice president & chief financial officer for a portfolio company of Apollo Management, L.P, and spent more than 21 years with AT & T, Inc. in a progression of senior financial and officer positions.
