ABOUT TOM VANDEKERCKHOVE
With a background in applied and engineering physics, I have focused on integrated photonics, quantum photonics, and electro-optics/nonlinear optics. I did this through several independent research projects over the years, culminating in my PhD, where I created a scalable nonlinear heterogeneous integration platform based on micro-transfer printing of thin-film lithium niobate (TFLN) onto silicon photonics. I now continue to pursue my passion in these areas as a member of the integrated photonics team at Nu Quantum.
