With over 25 years of insurance industry experience, Tom Taylor is a strategic leader with a penchant for identifying looming threats and effectively mobilizing teams to successfully prepare for, and navigate, the challenges that arise. He also leads corporate compliance and transformed the technology focused business continuity function to a corporate-level business resilience program. Recognizing early on the risks that cyber threats posed to the enterprise, he formed a cross-functional executive-level Cyber Council to provide cybersecurity leadership to the company.Tom’s calm, cool, and collected nature helps him offer exceptional leadership in crisis situations. For example, with his department’s business resiliency leadership role, he helped orchestrate Mutual of Enumclaw’s seamless transition to a remote organization in just a few weeks at the start of the pandemic. In his community, he led a petition drive that received signatures to prevent the closure of a local pool. He also led the reorganization of the Seattle chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors during the financial crisis of 2009, resulting in a return to fiscal stability. Tom is very proud to have reorganized a small non-profit organization to fund and successfully reintroduce a community-wide fireworks show.When he’s not working, you can find Tom chasing a variety of athletic challenges in the mountains of Washington state.
