High voltage circuit breaker products for utilities globally.Responsible for EHS, production, global supply chain, sales engineering, design engineering, customer service, QA, human resources. Lead a dramatic turn-around of this under performing $85M division. Started with complete value stream mapping of the entire organization. It had too many accidents, too much inventory, too much loss cost, too much product cost and very poor on time delivery. Championed an employee lead safety program that drove lost time accidents from 6 or 7 per year to no lost time accidents since Feb 2017. Immediately began building a continuous improvement culture. Here\'s what my team accomplished: freed up $10M in cash from poorly managed inventory and reduced annual shrink from $100K + to $0 through complete re-engineering of \"thinking\" and MRP. Implemented APICS tools and successful cycle counting. Lead successful product cost reduction program reducing costs by 10%+. Through deep analysis of warranty and loss costs exceeding 3% of sales - drove a multi-pronged attack on manufacturing practices, product improvement, supplier improvement and reduced annual loss costs to 0.4% of sales within 2 years. Implemented planning and communication protocols, improvements to supply chain and overhaul of office operations to improve on time delivery performance from 60% range to 97%. Increased Service revenue and profitability 220% over 4 years. Along the way we implemented a new ERP system and achieved ISO 90••••15 certification for design and manufacturing.
