About Tom Roman

Tom Roman, J.D. Tom completed his undergraduate education at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia and attended Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, DE, where he received his Juris Doctorate in 1990. Tom spent 12 years working on behalf of foster children separated from their families, while he also managed a private caseload. Tom’s personal struggle with alcohol ended when he sought professional help at a Caron Treatment center in 2002. While in treatment, Tom felt drawn to serve others sick and suffering in an active addiction. He has worked both privately and professionally over the last 19 years in the recovery community, his private passion is promoting attorney wellness. He knows treatment works and has personally benefited from his participation in lawyers’ assistance groups and 12 Step Fellowships. He has been active in lawyers’ recovery groups throughout the Mid-Atlantic since 2002, and currently volunteers his time working with the ABA’s Commission on Lawyers Assistance Programs and is a Member of the Lawyers Assistance Committee of the Pennsylvania Bar Association. Tom lives with his wife of 25 years, Adeline, in Cary, NC and is the proud, sober father of his sons-Alec and Evan.
