About Tom Repke

I am a deal team leader and player who gets the tough deals done - in a calm and collegial way. I work collaboratively with my Covington colleagues to solve complex challenges in a transactional context across a range of industries including industrial, aerospace and defense, and technology. I’ve led large global teams on numerous complicated transactions - often involving dozens of countries - bringing to bear years of experience and perspective as both an outside lawyer and in-house counsel.Prior to joining Covington as a Partner in 2017, I was Chief M&A Counsel at Tyco International, where I led M&A, joint venture, and investment transactions across all the Company’s business units. That followed 20 years as an M&A lawyer in private practice at global law firms, including 11 years as a partner. I thrive on resolving clients’ thorniest issues and leveraging the firm’s deep substantive expertise and collaborative culture to ensure that the clients’ needs are met and questions answered.On a personal note, I enjoy helping charitable organizations with corporate-related matters as part of my expanding Pro Bono efforts, spending time with my wife and four kids, and training for one day doing my fourth Marine Corps marathon.
