ABOUT TOM PARKER-HEWITT

An experienced MSK Lead Physiotherapist with a Sports Science background, constantly striving to empower, educate and motivate client’s during their rehabilitation using a combination of techniques acquired over multiple roles in the healthcare sector. My diverse background includes certificates in; weight management and smoking cessation. I feel these developments within my personal and professional life have helped me to become a well rounded holistic therapist, that can deliver a high quality of patient centred care. This combined with more Senior Lead Roles have developed my business development acumen, leadership and mentorship traits as well as managing a successful team. Monitoring KPIs, notes and sessions to maintain a high standard of care for all service users and guiding CPD plans with more junior members staff. Physiotherapy CPD courses include- FIFA Diploma in Football Medicine - Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity Course - Certified STEEL Cancer Rehab Physiotherapist - UKSCA Strength and Conditioning Foundation Workshop - AACP Acupuncture Foundation Course - Practical Podiatric Biomechanics by Paul Harradine - APPI Pilates (matwork) Level 1 Nike Training Pro Status Granted November 2020 HCPC, AACP and CSP registered. I have a keen interest in sports particular hockey having played since the age of 8 at all levels including; International Trials and National League with both Beeston H.C. and Nottingham H.C. This led to more recently working as a successful coach at various clubs, most recently with Bedford Ladies and led them to National League Promotion. UKCC England Hockey Coach Certified. I am also a keen a runner, cyclist, swimmer and snowboarder.
