Solidarity! A former union buster in the 1990s said it was our most potent weapon. But solidarity in your local is, well, gone. Why? In the old days, members would visit the union hall after work to have a beer and socialize. The hall helped people connect and the union was more than a vehicle for dealing with bargaining and grievances. There are many reasons why this isn\'t so today. Before we can enlist our members, we must first reconnect with those who neither love nor hate the union. Once we do this, we\'ll win better contracts, generate greater respect at work, and we\'ll grow again. But how? First, we\'ve got to stop ignoring the problem. Let\'s talk.
