ABOUT TOM MULLEN

I am a qualified Lawyer (FCILEx) and have worked in the field of data protection and privacy law in various roles with over 8 years experience in the area. I am also a certified Data Protection Practitioner (PDP). My current role involves providing legal and regulatory advice on Global data privacy laws and regulatory issues including: • Providing advice to the organisation to ensure GDPR and Global privacy law compliance across the organisation. • providing advice regarding Global privacy laws to all employees across the organisation at all levels as required. • Reviewing data protection impact assessments (DPIA\'s) for a range of projects across the organisation and providing advice around key risks and mitigations • Reviewing and maintaining data protection and privacy policies and procedures across the organisation covering all aspects of the GDPR and other global privacy laws. • Providing legal advice regarding the use and transfer/sharing of data with third parties. Including the review of contracts and sharing/processing agreements. • Advising on other global privacy and regulatory issues including the drafting and use of standard contractual clauses for international data transfers. • Dealing with data breaches across the organisation, including investigation and notification. • Supporting the organisation with maintenance of the information asset register and record of processing activity across the organisation • GDPR and privacy training for all staff globally.
