ABOUT TOM MCKEEVER

Currently working as the Lead for Assistive and Enabling Health and Care Technology at Leuchie - The National Respite Charity. Passionate about accessible technology which enriches and empowers. Working with the senior leadership team and all staff and stakeholders at Leuchie to improve the lives and experiences of those living with long-term neurological conditions. Having recently completed my PhD in under 3 years at the Edinburgh Napier University in the medical and pathway management of concussed youth athletes in Scotland, I continue to develop my research portfolio within the healthcare, and healthcare technology space. An output from my PhD was the development of a concussion management service and system, to monitor and manage concussed youth athletes. Our clinical team continues to develop this as a UK-wide service.with more details coming this year! Our goal. to make concussion management and care, accessible, affordable, comprehensive and research/ data-driven.I currently own and clinically direct TM Physiotherapy - An Edinburgh-based Physiotherapy clinic offering expert and individualised treatment and care for MSK injuries. I have just under 10 years of experience working as a chartered physiotherapist in a wide-variety of clinical settings. I have also taught as an associate lecturer on the MSc Physiotherapy progamme at the Edinburgh Napier University for 4 years, whilst completing my PhD. I continue to work with the team at Tiplo Ltd as their chief clinical advisor and continue to support the team in all their successes.
