National Grid is working to meet the Government’s target of generating 50GWs of offshore wind by 2030. Several transmission requirements, including new offshore and onshore developments, are Nationally Significant Infrastcture Projects. Multiple infrastructure projects need to go through planning, consultation, engineering, construction and commissioning. My job is to lead the communications and engagement with regional stakeholders across England and Wales. Key areas of responsibility include stakeholder management, senior executive counselling, issues management, community relations, media engagement, public affairs and project, team and budget management.
