Artistic Director and Joint CEO of the award-winning Orange Tree Theatre, a 180-seat theatre in the round, based in Richmond-upon-Thames in Greater London.The OT won the 2025 Stage Award for Theatre of the Year. I am currently directing Twelfth Night starring Patricia Allison, Jane Asher and Oliver Ford Davies, and Howard Brenton\'s Churchill in Moscow starring Roger Allam.Evening Standard Award 2023Critics\' Circle / Empty Space Award 2024Stage Theatre of the Year Award nomination 2024 Olivier Award nomination 2024Box office sales have doubled YoY at the OT, following an ambitious programme that reinvested in the work and the marketing. Highlights include Isley Lynn\'s The Swell, Trevor Nunn\'s Uncle Vanya, Polly Stenham\'s That Face, Red Speedo dir. Matthew Dunster, and my productions of The Circle, Suite in Three Keys and She Stoops to Conquer, which have set new box office records.Private giving has increased substantially. Patron numbers have risen from 12 to 52, and Members from 800 to 1300.We have forged new co-producing partnerships across the subsidised and commercial sectors including with The Women\'s Prize for Playwriting, Bristol Old Vic, Edinburgh Lyceum, Octagon Bolton, Paines Plough, Stephen Joseph Scarborough, Theatre by the Lake, David Adkin, Jonathan Church Productions.Co-led the recruitment of a new Chair of Trustees and a significant number of new trustees adding financial expertise to the Board.Restructured the senior management of the organisation and added capacity where necessary. Led the creation of a new vision, mission and values statement shaped by the wider staff team.We are now embarking on a £4m capital project to transform the OT\'s front of house experience, making it open and accessible to everyone.
