About Tom Lane
I began my career at Aon’s Affinity Program division in Philadelphia, later relocating to Seattle to manage a sales team for various Aon specialty programs. In 2005, I joined National Specialty Underwriters (NSU) where I served as Sales Executive to grow NSU’s flagship Hospitality Program. In 2009, NSU relocated me to New York to focus my efforts on growing the company in the northeast. Distinguished Programs acquired NSU in 2012 and my role as Sales Executive expanded to distribute multiple products. My focus with Starfish Specialty Insurance is on building strong relationships with the brokers I serve and bringing fresh solutions built on the strength of an experienced and dedicated team. My open style of communication and transparency makes me a trusted partner and advisor to brokers. As captain of my Division I baseball team (pitcher/closer), I’m always open to talking a little baseball in my spare time. I also enjoy spending my free time outdoors playing golf, watching sports, traveling and getting out of my comfort zone with new cuisines.
