End-of-studies internship within the Analysis and Advocacy team of Coordination SUD, the national umbrella organization for 188 French international solidarity NGOs. This internship took place in a context of strong budgetary pressures on official development assistance and major issues surrounding the financing of international solidarity.Main tasks- Participate in advocacy actions on ODA financing, in liaison with French institutions (Élysée, Matignon, MEAE, AFD, National Assembly, Senate, etc.)- Support for French civil society coordination ahead of the 4th United Nations Conference on Financing for Development (FfD4)- Contributed to the drafting and media coverage of a bill on the reallocation of solidarity taxes (FTT and TSBA) to international solidarity- Preparation of advocacy for the French 2026 Finance Bill (PLF), including participation in a Coordination SUD hearing at the National Assembly\'s Finance Committee- Support for the NGO College within the National Council for Development and International Solidarity (CNDSI).Skills developed- Advocacy strategies - Budget analysis and monitoring of public development policies- Drafting of advocacy messages and position papers- Inter-associative coordination and network management- Institutional communication and parliamentary mobilizationThis internship enabled me to immerse myself in the influence mechanisms of French NGOs, from a national, European and international perspective. It reinforced my interest in development policies and collective advocacy dynamics.
