ABOUT TOM J. CINQ
A two-time Fulbright Scholar to Russia, Dr. Tom Cinq-Mars investigates historical questions at the intersections of business, energy, and the environment. He received his Ph.D. from Duke University with research focused on links between modern (Soviet) Russia’s oil industry and economic diversity within the former Soviet Bloc. In the classroom, Cinq-Mars highlights the relevance of cross-cultural communication to energy decision-making in courses geared toward first-year students, including “The History of Energy,” “Nuclear Energy & Society,” and “Energy, Environment, and Climate Change.”
