ABOUT TOM GOODYEAR

I am currently working as the AFO Design Integration Lead within the SCS Shafts & Headhouse delivery unit as part of the HS2 S1 & S2 contracts.Within this role, I am leading the design development & coordination of the Stage 5 design, with a team of 6/7 Design Managers. The Architectural Fit Out (AFO) scope consists of Structural Steel, Masonry, Facades, Roofs, Passive Fire Protection, Soft/Hard Landscaping & Architectural Fit Out, for 8n.o. Shafts & Headhouse Assets on the Northolt Tunnels & Euston Approach route. This includes coordination with various MEPHC trades.I am also involved in closing out the Stage 4 Detailed Design for various assets.Skillsets include- A thorough understanding of the HS2 Technical Assurance & NR PACE processes; obtained from 12 years’ experience on Rail infrastructure projects, working across a multiple of disciplines (Structural/Civils/Arch/MEPHC/Fire/Security)- Proficient in a range of technical software including Autodesk AutoCAD/Navisworks, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite, Tekla TEDDS, Abaqus/CAE and a range of document control management systems including 4P, Sharepoint, eB, Projectwise, BIM 360, EMT, Zutec, CEMAR etc- Experience in managing multiple individuals, ensuring delivery of works & their development- Competent in producing and maintaining long term programmes using software such as Microsoft Project, Aphex etc- CPCS Lifting Operations Appointed Person, experienced in the use of a multiple of lifting equipment including; self-erecting mobile tower cranes, mobile cranes 300T – 50T, Pick & carry cranes, floor cranes, material lifts, roto telehandlers, A frames, bespoke lifting frames, HIABs- Proficient in identifying temporary works requirements & compiling design briefs, alongside an experience of temporary works inspections- Experience in; compiling scopes for subcontract procurement, preparation & review of tender documents, management of contractual programmes, formal communications with The Client and supply chain- Competent in producing high quality Inspection/Test & Work Package Plans. Engineering reviews & approvals of ITPs
