ABOUT TOM GANNON

Tom Gannon joined LPL Financial in 2024. As EVP, Chief Advocacy Officer, Gannon is responsible for leading the company\'s legislative and regulatory advocacy teams, political and grassroots operations, third party stakeholder engagement, including the LPL 50 State Advocacy Network. He is also President of the LPL Foundation.Gannon works closely with policymakers and regulators as well as industry and trade groups, representing LPL advisors and the company to foster alignment with the company’s enduring purpose – empowering advisors to deliver high quality and personalized advice to all who need it. Previously, Gannon was Chief Government Relations Officer at H&R Block, leading the company\'s public policy, regulatory and community relations efforts. This includes managing the legislative and regulatory teams as well as executing H&R Block\'s strategic engagement on all policy issues of importance to the company. Prior to H&R Block, Gannon worked at Mastercard, leading their Federal and State & Local government relations team and executed a strategic advocacy plan with several key stakeholder groups at the federal and state level. Gannon previously worked in government relations for Credit Union National Association where he focused on electronic payments, student lending, small business financing, cyber security, housing finance and regulatory restructuring. Prior to that, he worked for American Hotel & Lodging Association where he managed the groups’ grassroots and political programs, including HotelPAC, and focused on legislative issues important to the industry. He began his career on Capitol Hill working for Members of Congress from New York State.Gannon holds a Political Science degree from Canisius College and a MBA from Johns Hopkins University. He currently resides in Arlington, VA with his wife and children.
