ABOUT TOM FLEMING

Currently, I am CEO of EighteenFifty Investment Group which is an investment company I set up with a couple of colleagues in order to purchase majority stakes in businesses within the UK. We are currently building groups in the utillity sector, plastic sector and renewable energy sectors. Historical Background I joined Deloitte in 1990 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1993. In 1995 I joined the North West Restructuring Services (\"RS\") department and helped to build a strong mid-market RS – Advisory team in the North West and nationally. In I went on secondment to RBS SLS in order to assist them with the turnaround of some of their more difficult cases. I had over 17 years’ experience in investigating the causes of corporate under-performance, while advising and supporting clients in the construction and implementation of strategic solutions, including business and financial turnarounds. I spent 4 years in London working on large PLC clients and on more complex turnaround situations often with syndicated banking finance structures. In addition this also meant working on a number of national and international assignments including working in the USA, Italy and Germany. Over the years I have worked with and alongside a number of family owned SME’s and Mid-Market businesses in the North West as well as a number of national and international plc’s.
