For the past year I have led the successful handover of the 25th Maggie’s centre. This one being at the Royal Marsden. Designed by Ab Rogers and set in landscape by Piet Oudolf the centre provides support for those affected by Cancer in a secure and comforting environment. Taking over a few months in and as team of two permanent staff I led the project through complex design development and implementation into reality from point where design has been overtaken by construction. Glazed terracotta and glass give a fantastically modern look to a beautiful, warm and homely space with a real reason for it’s inception.
