Tom is the Founding Partner & CEO of Bonnefield Financial Inc, a specialized Canadian investment manager, exclusively focused on providing long-term capital to the agriculture industry. Bonnefield provides farmland lease solutions to farmers and non-controlling capital to agribusiness owners. The firm is dedicated to preserving farmland for farming, and partners with growth-oriented operators to help them grow, reduce debt, and finance retirement and succession. Tom has a broad range of private equity investing, investment banking and merchant banking experience. Prior to forming Bonnefield, Tom was the co-founder and Managing Partner of Latitude Partners, a private equity fund that specialized in buyouts of private and public Canadian technology companies. Previously, Tom was Managing Director of TD Securities and the founder and head of TD’s technology investment banking operations. He was also a managing director of Lancaster Financial, a leading independent merger and acquisition advisory firm.Tom is an experienced board director of numerous public and private companies as well as not-for-profit organizations and educational institutions. His current board activities include sitting on the Investment Review Committee of CI Financial one of Canada\'s largest investment firms, and he is a founding director of the Escarpment Corridor Alliance an organization dedicated to protecting the natural environment along the Niagara Escarpment in the South Georgian Bay area of Ontario.
