ABOUT TOM DURHAM
I am, hardworking and highly motivated, thriving on working with others to achieve an objective. Possessing tenacity, determination and a willingness to learn, I believe I can be an asset to any organisation. Representing school, college and university and often taking roles such as captain and team leader, my enthusiastic approach has helped me get the best out of myself and my peers. My first lessons in the built environment were drawn from practical experience of a renovation project in the Yorkshire Dales. At the age of 19 I was heavily involved in the project, working side by side with contractors, making design decisions and gaining in-depth knowledge of building techniques. Since then, I have been chosen by my peers to represent them as their year representative, department representative, and most recently, as the president for Northumbria’s architecture society.
