Source, underwrite, and monitor portfolio co-investment opportunities. Traveled to 15-25 on-site annual meetings per year-Innovated by leading the investment of value-adding industry-firsts in Project Orion (first PE fund developed for DC plans) and Project Palmdale (first PE NAV loan for an ERISA plan)- Insourced the distribution-in-kind sales process in 2020. Developed a platform to efficiently track, plan, and dispose of listed equity dispositions from private equity holdings. Saved over $200k in fees from external service providers. The program netted over $10MM in excess returns from benchmark distribution values in 2021 alone.Alternatives and Public Markets:– Designed and managed portfolios across every asset class: Public Equity, Fixed Income, Hedge Funds, Private Markets, Commodities, and Global Tactical Asset Allocation.– Created and managed a $500MM \"Global Special Opportunities\" macro commodity hedge fund-of-funds used as an alpha driver for the absolute return asset class, producing positive excess returns for >5 years and exceeding commodity benchmark returns by over 10% p.a.– Initiated, designed and implemented the pension’s diversified commodity portfolio in 2007. Constructed, optimized and seeded allocations to external asset managers, adding ±200 bps in excess returns annually from 2007 to 2019.
