ABOUT TOM COGGRAVE
I’m a technology professional with strong interests in Modernisation (particularly of legacy mainframe workloads), architecture, lean approaches and optimising the SDLC for clients. Through my work with ThoughtWorks, I’ve helped clients across BFSI, retail, health tech and publishing domains, in a hands-on capacity by leading individual teams, through to larger-scale, multi-team programmes of work.I\'m currently working on our mainframe modernisation services where I deliver these programmes but also build out our internal capability, tooling and knowledge in this area.In past engagements, I’ve led the implementation of systems in the cloud and on-premise, using Java, C#, NodeJS, Ruby and more. These solutions were developed in different styles, from REST to messaging approaches using Kafka, and have also used different approaches; traditional stateful and event-sourcing, and microservice and event-driven architectures.
