ABOUT TOM CHEE

I am a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor with 12 years practice experience across all disciplines, working with clients ranging from SMEs, High Net Worth Individuals and large corporations to International Groups. I manage a core portfolio of clients and am also my firm’s lead in forensic accountancy which includes managing a team involved in dispute resolution and representing clients in high level investigations, both civil and criminal, conducted by HMR & C into direct and indirect taxes. Those investigations range from straight forward compliance issues to COP 8 and COP 9 enquires into suspected serious fraud and evasion and criminal prosecutions. We also advocate the use of ADR in appropriate cases and in addition to resolving our own client issues with HMR & C, provide support to other accountants whose clients can benefit from ADR but who have little of no experience of Mediation. The team regularly produce Forensic Accountancy reports in HMR & C criminal prosecution cases, POCA and Freezing Order Applications and civil matters such as divorce and compensation claims. I am passionate and curious about the evolving world of taxation and work with clients to ensure they are optimising their tax position for the continued growth of their business and the benefit of the shareholders, directors and employees. I have built a career in tax and will continue to develop that working with like-minded professionals and clients to drive real, positive change in the business world.
