Recently:Designed and managed the launch of a new website for a local, small business Pull The Pin (https://pullthepinlancaster.com) that specializes in delivering the best golf experience in Central Pennsylvania. Working closely with the owners, our goal for the site was to show off the expertise of the staff in regards to golf club fittings, lessons, and everything else golf. A goal for the new owner was to increase in-store club fittings and lessons set at 90 or about 360 for the year. While making the site, they were well on their way in quarter one, but the system in place (paper, pencil and old website messages) became hard to manage and cancellations and no shows were escalating. We introduced a scheduling system on the website as a solution so the store can charge a deposit (likely decreasing no shows) and communicate to the patron that a scheduled time was coming up. On first day of launch and within hours, two people used that system to book times.** Update- In 2021, the goal of 360 fittings for the year was reached by April Design is the process of understanding people and the services they use all while balancing the needs of the business. Value has to be delivered to both parties if either are to succeed. Currently delivering on multiple modules of a SaaS product and creating a design system to help the design and development teams ship features more accurately and efficiently. Design is better together.
