About Tom Brim
A business professional with 25 years of experience with a focus on the energy and utilities sector, particularly with public power. He is focused on strategy, program management and new business/product line development. Over the past 17 years, he has worked exclusively in the electric power industry in areas such as resource flexibility, grid modernization, capital planning, non-wires evaluation, and resource aggregation to meet peaking and other grid needs. This work has included advising on the full lifecycle of demand-side resources (design, program implementation, evaluation, and selection of ecosystem partners) on behalf of utilities, with an emphasis on the Commercial and Industrial sectors, with projects totally over 100MW of peaking capacity. He also acted as a project manager on the $176M Pacific Northwest Smart Grid Demonstration that spanned 13 utilities across the region. Serves as an advisor to Grid Forward and on the California Energy Commission\'s IAW demand flexibility initiative.
