ABOUT TOM BRADLEY

I have worked in the sustainability sector for almost twenty years, starting at Narec (now known as ORE Catapult). Following this, I served as a co-founder and director of Decerna for 13 years. In 2026, I helped found BELOW280 with assistance from the LCA team and others at Decerna.My career has included working on wave, tidal, wind, solar PV, solar thermal, BESS, energy efficiency, carbon capture and LCA. I have worked on guidance for the European Commission, developed energy strategies and models for cities in the UK and Spain, published various scientific articles, and worked across the globe. Currently, as a director of Below280, a consultancy and training organisation, I lead strategy and business development, and provide technical support to the highly capable team here. We provide LCA, EPD, CBAM, carbon capture due diligence, and training services.My passion and mission are to contribute to the global efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve energy security, and alleviate fuel poverty by applying my expertise in LCA, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and data analysis. I have a PhD in LCA of microalgae-derived biodiesel, and I was an active member of the Newcastle University Advisory Board for renewable energy-based MSc courses. I am always eager to learn new skills, collaborate with other professionals, and share my knowledge and insights with the wider community.
