Ever conscious of the unfolding ecological collapse that confronts us, I chose to make the fateful move away from city chatter to find meaning through working the land in 2016.After a few educational years establishing an organic vegetable farm and following 2 decades foraging for mushrooms, from the foothills of the Pyrenees to the Siberian Steppes - I experienced a crucial \'a-ha moment\' during a mushroom cultivation course here in Bristol in 2018.In 2019 I began work launching the Bristol Fungarium, producing the UK\'s first 100% organic commercially available native medicinal mushroom range from my farm in Somerset - and handling the whole process from spores to sterile lab work, liquid mycelium cultivation and finally the fruiting blocks.With the help of a brave team of fellow fungi fanatics, we currently crop 2 tonnes a month of +17 strains of mushroom - many of which are featured in the first UK grown organic certified range of medicinal mushroom tinctures.
