Tom is a partner in PwC’s West & Wales practice. Tom has 15 years of Deals experience having worked in PwC’s Transaction Services practice in London since and the West & Wales region since 2011. During his time in London, Tom’s clients included corporates such as Anglo American plc, VT Group plc and Amec plc; and PE houses such as CVC Capital Partners, Electra Partners, Charterhouse and Silverfleet Capital. He now leads the Transaction Services team in the region, providing transaction support and due diligence services to a range of clients undertaking acquisitions, disposals, changes in ownership and financing. The team work on 30 to 40 transactions a year across a range of sectors including Industrial Products, Consumer & Retail, Financial Services, Business Services and Public Sector. A selection of recent regional transactions led by Tom include: • Buy side due diligence for Rotork plc on their acquisitions of Bifold Group from Lloyds LDC; and M&M Spa, in Italy, from Spirax Sarco plc; • Buy side due diligence for Jelf plc on a number of acquisitions of owner managed insurance brokers across the UK; • Buy side due diligence assignments for the Business Growth Fund to support their investments in Trunki, Ecovision and BVG Airflo Ltd; • Vendor Assistance for Lloyds Development Capital on their disposal of Penn Pharma; • Due Diligence to support the private equity backed MBOs of Gro Group (Mobeus), MK Test (Synova) and Succession (Inflexion) • Vendor due diligence on the disposal of Deltaform Limited to Waddingtons, a private equity backed US company • Due Diligence for Finance Wales to support their private fund raising for two separate growth investment funds • Due diligence for Cornwall College and Bicton College on their merger in 2015; • Due diligence to support the Regional Growth Fund applications for a range of clients in the South West including Princess Yachts, Gooch & Housego, Plessey Semiconductors, Ashwoods Automotive and Becton Dickinson
